InLine Legal PLLC ("Firm", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your information through our operations, our website located at ww.inlinelegal.com (the "Site"), and our legal services (the "Services").

1.1. Information You Provide. We collect information you voluntarily provide via intake forms, emails, service requests, or direct communication.
Client & Compliance Data (AML/KYC): To comply with professional and ethical duties, we collect Identity Data (beneficial owners, officers), Financial Data (bank details for billing), and Conflicts Data (adverse parties, vendors, former counsel).
Contact Data: Name, email address, mailing address, phone number.
Voluntary Data: Any other information you choose to provide (e.g., business goals, personal context) to facilitate your representation.
1.2. Information Collected Automatically.
Tracking Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, interaction with our emails, and clickstream data.
Ad Data: Data regarding your interaction with our advertisements on third-party platforms.
2. HOW & WHY WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
2.1. Purposes & Legal Basis. We process your data based on the following legal grounds:
Contractual Necessity: To provide the Services you requested.
Legal & Ethical Obligations: To perform conflict checks, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks, and maintain client records as required by the Virginia State Bar.
Legitimate Interests: To protect our business, improve our Services (analytics), and ensure security.
2.2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Transparency. The Firm utilizes Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., Gemini) to assist in data organization and drafting.
Privacy Controls: We utilize enterprise settings intended to prevent third-party AI models from training on your confidential client data.
Human Oversight: A licensed attorney reviews AI-generated work product for accuracy. We do not rely solely on AI for legal advice.
3. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
3.1. Service Providers. We share data with trusted third-party processors who assist in our operations under strict confidentiality agreements.
Core Stack Examples: Google Workspace (Docs/Email), LawPay (Payments), Flodesk (Marketing), Google Analytics.
3.2. International Transfers (Brazil & Global). InLine Legal PLLC is based in Virginia, but our team operates globally (including from Brazil).
Safeguards: We rely on legal mechanisms, such as contractual confidentiality obligations and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), to ensure data security when accessed by our international team members. By using our Services, you consent to this global processing and transfer.
3.3. SMS/Mobile Data Firewall (A2P 10DLC Compliance). Strictly Prohibited: Mobile information collected specifically for SMS consent (text messaging originator opt-in data) will never be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This category of data is firewalled from our pixel/tracking activities described below.
3.4. Targeted Advertising. We may use tracking pixels (e.g., Meta Pixel) to serve relevant ads to you on social media.
Disclosure: Under Virginia (VCDPA) and California (CCPA/CPRA) law, this activity may be considered "sharing" or "selling" data.
Opt-Out: You may opt-out of this tracking via our cookie banner or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals on your browser. We do not respond to older "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals due to a lack of uniform industry standards.
4. YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES
4.1. United States (Virginia & California). Residents of Virginia (VCDPA) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have the right to:
Access, Correct, Delete: Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
Opt-Out: Opt-out of profiling, targeted advertising, or the sale of personal data.
Authorized Agent: Designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, subject to written verification of their authority.
Appeals (VA): If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our denial. If the appeal is denied, you may contact the Virginia Attorney General.
4.2. Breach Notification (VA Code § 18.2-186.6). In the event of an unencrypted breach of personal information that poses a risk of harm, we will notify affected Virginia residents without unreasonable delay, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.
4.3. International Rights (GDPR & LGPD). We honor the privacy rights of clients in the EEA/UK (GDPR) and Brazil (LGPD), including the rights of Access, Rectification, Erasure, and Portability.
5. SOCIAL MEDIA & PUBLIC DATA
If you post information on our public social media pages or in an open format, it is considered Public Information, not Personal Information. We are not responsible for how third parties (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn) use information you voluntarily make public.
6. DISCLAIMERS & UPDATES
6.1. Target Audience. We do not knowingly market to children under the age of 16. No one under age 16 should provide any information to or on the Site.
6.2. Attorney-Client Privilege. Nothing in this Privacy Policy waives the Attorney-Client Privilege. Information provided for legal representation is protected by the ethical rules of the Virginia State Bar. In the event of a conflict between this Policy and our ethical duties, the ethical duties shall prevail.
6.3. Changes. We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time due to changes in law or our operations. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance.
